I've forwarded it to Keith and also to Peck, Mike Mann and Ray Bradley, so hope it gets some references. It should be good for IPCC. Pity we didn't co-ordinate better so we could have referred to each other's reviews - still they are both out now. We just need to get someone to do something similar for ice cores and some of the lesser proxies. There should be a good review of documentary coming out in Climate Change soon by Brazdil et al.. It isn't as comprehensive as yours, but a reasonable review. Cheers Phil At 09:23 10/08/2004 +1000, you wrote: Dear Phil Thanks for e-mail & info as to where the data are. It is very hard to "argue" your case with people who are fighting in the media and obscure non-refereed publications! (have had some recent experience of that here in relation to climate change & human impacts on the GBR - sometimes it is a lot easier to bang your head against a brick wall!). I would be happy to be involved in the next IPCC if there is something I can helpfully contribute to. My main interest at present are the usual coral palaeo stuff and also observed and projected changes in tropical SSTs particularly in areas of coral reefs re bleaching etc. Best wishes Janice Prof. Phil Jones Climatic Research Unit Telephone +44 (0) 1603 592090 School of Environmental Sciences Fax +44 (0) 1603 507784 University of East Anglia Norwich Email p.jones@uea.ac.uk NR4 7TJ UK ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
