It is, I think, far more intellectually satisfying now. Of course, this is only a stepping stone to something much better that can be developed for AR4 -- but I need it now to do my commitment analysis. I had planned to put this in merely as an Appendix to the commitment note. However, when I look at it now (biased viewpoint, of course) it looks quite neat -- and perhaps warrants publication as a stand alone paper in a journal like GRL. What do you think? (I am thinking of a joint paper here, of course.) Even Jonathan might like this work because, unexpectedly to me, it justifies what was done in the TAR.
