Suggest that we now need to get Nikki (Carbon Trust) to see herself as having a stake in this project - so she sees this as a way of earning her spurs - i.e. it's "her" project. She did offer help on the carbon audit methodology side. Perhaps when you write to Mallaburn (acting CE) you also copy her in, & see if she can come up on her own to give us advice. If the VC is agreeable, I think it will be well worth mentioning that there will be EEDA support. Getting Nikki up here will allow us to float the issue of us needing to raise the extra above "basic" costs for new buildings in order for to get into serious de-carbing - I suspect this will be better done informally in the first instance in order for us to gauge reaction. Might be good to invite Frans & Simon too. 2. You will have seen that I've started to see if we can get some MSc students onto the scoping studies. Last night I suggested that some of the Climate Change 3rd years might like to choose carbon-auditing as their seminar topic, & gave them some sketchy background.
