date: Wed, 6 Nov 2002 16:08:02 -0000 from: "Gillian Watson" subject: Teleconference meeting to: "Mike Hulme" , "Neil Adger" , , , Dear All, Thank you all for your recent comments and suggestions regarding the write-up from climate change and Arctic event. They were very helpful. I also had some useful feedback and additional information from the other participants at the event. Some issues have arisen which we feel need to be discussed in a telephone meeting of steering group. In particular it has been suggested that we need to radically rethink the second half of the "A UK Research Response" section and should focus on identifying new science areas/key research policy issues that the Research Councils/FCO/DEFRA could consider. Therefore, I propose to set-up a teleconference to discuss the issues raised and to identify the way forward. Unfortunately, Mike's diary is very full at the moment, but he would be available for a telephone meeting between 3-4pm on Wednesday 20 November, or 10-11am on Thursday 21 November. Please could email me with your availability (or not) on these dates/times as well as the telephone number you wish to be contacted on for the teleconference. I will then make the necessary arrangements. I look forward to hearing from you shortly. Best wishes, Gillian ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Gillian Watson Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research School of Environmental Sciences University of East Anglia Norwich, NR4 7TJ, UK http://www.tyndall.ac.uk Email: G.Watson@uea.ac.uk Tel.: +44 (0)1603 593905 Fax.: +44 (0)1603 593901 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research ... integrated research for sustainable responses ... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
