Mike,
Rasmus wrote the response today and did the work yesterday ! Bright guy - but it
was all basically very obvious. I didn't have the time ! The IJC review only took 30
minutes.
If Rasmus can do this is a day, why can't MM see it. He has sent his response to the CR
editor (still Kinne !) and also to McKittrick.
Let me know more about a possible move at a later date. Hope you get somewhere good.
We've just moved house - to one with beams built in the 17th century, but the
extension at the back in 20 years old. The front rooms are the old part with the new at
the back. We've been in 2 weeks now and still unpacking.
It really is called the White House even though it is Suffolk Pink

hey phil,
just read that Benestad et al paper--its very nicely done. Basically, McKitrick repeats
the same problem over and over again (i.e., in their critique of us, and in their latest
critique of the instrumental record). They form statistical models and fail to evaluate
the skill through cross-validation. When one does that, the models indicate no skill!
Amazing that it once again boils down to the same issue. They must know better. If they
do, that suggests something worse...
