We cannot do all rapid climate everywhere and would be ill-advised to try it in that budget. Remember £3 m has gone already. I agree with the views on the way we should extend judiciously beyond the THC expressed by Paul and Keith, the latter pointing out that some wider stuff may shed light on the N.Atlantic THC. Given this, I would ask that we rethink our schedule for revision and sending out the papers for the next meeting. It appears as if at least one iteration of e-mail discussion would be beneficial, and we have not yet heard from many people. I was in the USA earlier this week and will go to Norway on Monday, meaning that I'll have little chance to respond until later next week. I can see the constraints from the NOClim and AGU, but we may want to avoid starting our discussion on 18/12 from a document which might already be significantly obsolete.
