Others will, no doubt, be writing. I suggest we play the long game - & invite Bellamy up here for a quiet visit. "Bellamy converted" would make a very good story. If he refuses our invitation, that is potential ammunition for us. We actually have a very good hook on which to hang an invitation - although I won't go into reasons here. Let me know what you think. Trevor __________________________________ Professor Trevor D. There is a long piece by David Bellamy in today's Daily Mail which you ought to see if you haven't already. Entitled: 'Global Warming? What a load of poppycock!' - it says not only is current warming a natural phenomenon - part of the earth's historical 'up and down' trend, but that carbon dioxide has had a bad press (it will simply encourage more plant growth) and that sea level rise is a totally separate issue. We've not had any calls about this yet - would any of you be willing to speak if we do? - or you may wish to be more proactive. Someone is bringing copies for you all this morning. Let me know if we can help. Regards, Annie ------------------------------- Annie Ogden, Press & PR Manager University of East Anglia, Norwich, NR4 7TJ.
